Dear fellow music collector, February 18,2007 ________________________________________ I have issued my last printed list in 1993, since then it's only available in electronic form. There are three principal lists: -------------------------------- mainlist.txt - the main listing of my collection of concert recordings, CDRs and videos. Only copies of these items are available. newstuff.txt - latest arrivals that have not yet been fully cataloged swaplist.txt - these are my offers of rare, original records. It also includes my list of wanted items, also available separately as wantlist.txt In the lists you will find the following abbreviations: ------------------------------------------------------- Date : is given in the european format day.month.year Min : recording length in minutes, ususally exact Qu : sound quality on a 0-10 scale, ranging from perfect (10=professional CD quality), over stuff only collecters with battle-hardened ears will be able to enjoy (5 and less),to absolute crap (2 and less). Cass.Nr. is just an info for me where to find the recording Trading "Rules" --------------- All trades will normally be done on a "roughly equal time" basis. This is how I copy tapes/CDR/DVDs - please do the same for me, thanks! Information - as far as present a list of the song titles, exact venue, extra information etc. will be sent with every item. Labels and - will be provided printed or in digital form, as agreed. Covers - ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, no adhesive labels on CDs and DVDs!! - if labels are available, use inkjet printable media Media - use brand-name, new analog media (tapes, VHS) - use brand-name CDRs and DVD+-R, preferrably (fullface) inkjet printable. CD-R - copied by extraction with EAC in safe mode - burned Disk-at-once, pauses set to zero between live tracks - verified after burning - never burnt on-the-fly or with unsafe extraction (CloneCD) DVD+-R - my standard is DVD+R, I can use "-" but prefer not to have to stock different types of media. - always extracted digitally and verified after burning - never burnt on-the-fly or with unsafe extraction (CloneDVD) Cassette - please don't use any noise-reduction-systems on tapes for me. Tapes - please take care that the recording level is not too low (which happens surprisingly often) or too high. - if parts of different concerts or short pieces have to be recorded one after another on the same cassette side, please leave a definite pause (10 seconds blank) between them. Videos - All my videos are VHS PAL, I can watch NTSC, but can not transfer PAL to NTSC or vice-versa, nor transfer VHS to DVD. Sending - my standard is air mail, well wrapped, no jewel cases. Postage - Unfortunately, mail from Germany is very expensive. One tape weighs ca. 70 g, one CDR ca. 100 g, an LP or videotape is ca. 210 g, plus packaging material. Please check http://www.caby.de/downloads/Porto_2007.pdf for the most recent postage rates. Payment - I prefer EURO cash in a registred letter, or by bank transfer - I can accept US$ and UKPounds via PayPal - if you pay in currencies other than Euro, or by methods other than cash, I expect you to pay all open and hidden fees involved. - See http://www.caby.de/paypal.htm for details on PayPal transactions and fees. Please also check out remcorr.txt, a detailed listing of all fake and mis-labeled concert recordings I've been able to identify! Enjoy the lists and let me hear from you soon, all the best -klaus-
